That’s a wrap

Most people move homes a few times in their life and each time probably involves more items than the last like furniture, decorations, dishes, clothes. If you have loaded up a moving truck before, you’ve probably been faced with the question, “Do I reallly need to wrap that couch? What’s the worst that could happen?” Let’s just say the worst that could happen is definitely not pretty BUT that doesn’t necessarily mean you need that plastic wrap or even moving blankets!

Let’s think about mileage…

The farther your move is, the more likely you’ll be to take a highway which means higher speeds and less reaction time. A medium-sized bump at 75mph could spell much more than just a scratch on your desk; it could be broken wood and torn sofas. If you’re going to be on a highway for more than 20 minutes, it’ll be worth it to wrap all large furniture.

If you don’t have to use a highway at all, think about the terrain in your town (and that pothole on Main Street that’s old enough to drive). Staying off the highway means you can probably keep your speed low enough to make any damage to your belongings highly unlikely… just choose your path wisely!
